Malgré l’existence de recommandations nationales (HAS 2019) et internationales (ACOG 2020 et CSEP 2025), leur appropriation en médecine générale reste méconnue. Une étude observationnelle, transversale et analytique a été menée en 2024 auprès de 110 médecins généralistes bretons, via un questionnaire informatisé fondé sur trois vignettes cliniques, visant à évaluer leurs connaissances concernant l’activité physique en post-partum. Les résultats montrent des acquis contrastés : 37% identifient les activités autorisées en post-partum précoce, 47% connaissent le délai de reprise après une césarienne, 77% prescrivent la rééducation périnéale, 59% connaissent les bienfaits globaux, 62% identifient les signes d’alerte, 59% recommandent une fréquence d’activité physique adaptée et 99% reconnaissent la compatibilité avec l’allaitement. Les facteurs associés à des meilleurs score étaient le sexe féminin, la tranche d’âge 31-45 ans et le fait d’avoir des enfants. Aucune corrélation n’a été retrouvée avec une formation spécifique en gynécologie ou la zone géographique d’exercice. Ces résultats soulignent la nécessité d’intégrer la santé post-natale dans la pratique de médecine générale et un intérêt à des formations ciblées pluri professionnelles. Dans la continuité de ce travail, une prochaine étape consisterait à évaluer, en situation de consultation, l’acceptabilité de ces messages de prévention auprès des femmes en post-partum. The results reveal uneven levels of knowledge: 37% identified activities permitted in early postpartum, 47% knew the recommended timeframe for resuming activity after a caesarean section, 77% prescribed pelvic floor rehabilitation, 59% were aware of the overall benefits, 62% identified warning signs, 59% recommended an appropriate frequency of physical activity, and 99% recognised its compatibility with breastfeeding. Factors associated with higher scores included being female, aged 31–45 years, and having children. No correlation was found with prior gynaecology training or geographical practice location. These findings highlight the need to integrate postnatal health more fully into general practice and support the relevance of targeted, interprofessional training initiatives. As a continuation of this work, a next step would be to assess, in real-life consultation settings, the acceptability of these preventive messages among postpartum women.
