Ils font face à des pathologies particulières et à un public vulnérable aux enjeux spécifiques. La question de la prise en charge médicamenteuse par la pharmacie de ville se pose alors face à un système hospitalier fragile. Quelle place ce professionnel peut-il, et doit-il prendre dans le parcours de soins de ces patients ? Le pharmacien joue un rôle fondamental sur cette île, car il est accessible chaque jour de la semaine sans rendez-vous et constitue parfois le premier recours aux soins. Grâce aux nouvelles missions qui lui sont confiées il peut assurer des actes de vaccination, diagnostic et de prévention qui sont essentiels à la protection de la santé publique tout en s’adaptant au contexte local. In Mayotte, community pharmacists are regularly faced with treating migrant patients at the counter. They face specific pathologies and a vulnerable population with specific challenges. The question of medication management by the community pharmacy then arises in the face of a fragile hospital system. What role can, and should this professional play in the care pathway of these patients? Pharmacists play a fundamental role on this island because they are accessible every day of the week without an appointment and are sometimes the first point of contact for care. Thanks to the new missions entrusted to them, they can provide vaccination, diagnostic, and prevention services that are essential to protecting public health while adapting to the local context.
