     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Le Cuivre-Zinc-Étain-Sulfure (CZTS) de structure kestérite s’impose comme un matériau prometteur, abondant et respectueux de l’environnement pour les cellules solaires à couches minces. Cependant, son développement reste limité par un important déficit de tension en circuit ouvert (VOC), résultant de l’interaction complexe entre les défauts de volume, la recombinaison interfaciale et les contraintes architecturales de l’appareil. Cette thèse propose une stratégie d’ingénierie pour surmonter ces défis. Plus précisément, le dopage au germanium (Ge) est utilisé pour passiver les défauts cationiques du volume ; un traitement thermique en atmosphère riche en oxygène est appliqué afin de réduire les pièges liés aux anions à l’interface ; et une couche tampon sans cadmium en nitrure de zinc-étain (ZnSnN₂) est développée pour optimiser l’alignement des bandes et assurer une architecture plus écologique. Ces approches ont conduit à des avancées notables, atteignant des rendements de conversion de puissance de 12,25 %, 11,51 % (certifié) et 10,0 % pour les cellules CZTS pur sulfure. Dans l’ensemble, ce travail démontre qu’une approche intégrée combinant l’ingénierie du volume, de l’interface et de l’appareil est essentielle pour surmonter les verrous intrinsèques de la technologie CZTS et favoriser son développement vers des applications solaires efficaces, durables et commercialement viables.</dcterms:abstract>
     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">Kesterite Copper Zinc Tin Sulfide (CZTS) has emerged as a highly promising earth-abundant and environmentally benign material for thin-film solar cells. However, its development has been persistently constrained by a pronounced open-circuit voltage (VOC) deficit, primarily arising from the intricate interplay of bulk defects, interfacial recombination, and device architectural limitations. This thesis presents a comprehensive, engineering strategy to address these challenges. Specifically, Germanium (Ge) doping is employed to passivate bulk cation defects; an oxygen-rich post-annealing treatment is introduced to suppress interfacial anion-related traps; and a cadmium-free Zinc Tin Nitride (ZnSnN₂) buffer layer is developed to achieve optimal band alignment and environmentally sustainable device architecture. These approaches respectively led to remarkable performance advancements, achieving power conversion efficiencies of 12.25%, 11.51% (certified), and 10.0% for pure-sulfide CZTS solar cells. Collectively, this work demonstrates that an integrated approach combining bulk, interface, and device-level engineering is essential to overcome the intrinsic bottlenecks of CZTS technology, thereby advancing its potential toward efficient, sustainable, and commercially viable solar energy applications.</dcterms:abstract>
