     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">La demande constante de miniaturisation et d'amélioration de la gestion thermique en nanoélectronique a attiré l'attention sur les jonctions moléculaires, où le transport est dicté par la mécanique quantique. Depuis le concept pionnier d'Aviram et Ratner d'une diode moléculaire, l'intérêt pour les jonctions moléculaires s'est accru, stimulé par la capacité d'ajuster finement les structures moléculaires et les propriétés électroniques pour diverses applications telles que les conducteurs à l'échelle moléculaire et les convertisseurs de chaleur en électricité. La présence d'atomes de métaux de transition dans les systèmes moléculaires organométalliques peut rapprocher les orbitales frontières du niveau de Fermi et induire une interférence quantique (IQ), ce qui permet d'obtenir des fils moléculaires hautement conducteurs aux propriétés thermoélectriques accrues. Dans ce travail, par la conception moléculaire de différents systèmes organométalliques, nous explorons l'interférence quantique pour le transport électronique dans le régime de réponse linéaire afin d'augmenter de manière significative le coefficient Seebeck. Les simulations QuantumATK sont réalisées en utilisant le cadre DFT-NEGF. Une comparaison avec les résultats expérimentaux obtenus par les collaborateurs du projet HotElo est également fournie.

     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">The ongoing demand for miniaturization and improved thermal management in nanoelectronics has brought attention to molecular junctions (MJs), where transport is dictated by quantum mechanics. Since the pioneering concept by Aviram and Ratner of a molecular diode, interest in MJs has expanded, driven by the ability to fine- tune molecular structures and electronic properties for diverse applications like molecular-scale conductors and heat-to- electricity converters. The presence of transition metal atoms in organometallic molecular systems can promote the frontier orbitals closer to the Fermi level and induce quantum interference (QI), leading to highly conductive molecular wires with increased thermoelectric properties. In this work, by molecular design of different organometallic systems, we explore QI for electronic transport in linear response regime to increase significantly the Seebeck coefficient. QuantumATK simulations are performed using DFT- NEGF framework. A comparison with experimental results made by collaborators of the HotElo project is also be provided.
