     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Au travers d'une conception innovante, le piston hydro-CO₂ propose une nouvelle approche thermodynamique des cycles de pompe à chaleur (PAC). Elle a pour but de minimiser les irréversibilités dans les transformations thermodynamiques et d'élargir le champs d'application des PAC dans l'industrie. Le travail échangé avec le fluide frigorigène est réalisé au travers d'un piston liquide dans des ballons sous pression (BSP). Lorsque les transformations s'enchaînent le cycle créé est appelé PAC hydro-CO₂. L'étude numérique de la PAC hydro-CO₂ décrit son principe de fonctionnement, sa conception et ses performances attendues afin d'évaluer la viabilité du projet d'un point de vue environemental, économique et technique. Le premier prototype de ce système est réalisé à une échelle 1/1000e de la version industrielle, sur une puissance d'environ 250 W. Les essais expérimentaux permettent d'identifier certains aspects de la conception à revoir pour les versions suivantes du prototype. Ils soulignent aussi le poids prépondérant des déperditions thermiques sur sa performance. Si les simulations numériques illustrent le bénéfice induit par le passage de l'échelle prototype à l'échelle industrielle, ce point reste crucial à étudier dans les futures versions du développement de la technologie. Cette étude confirme le potentiel de la technologie dans ses objectifs initiaux en rapport avec la transition énergétique industrielle.</dcterms:abstract>
     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">The hydro-CO₂ piston is based on a novel thermodynamic approach of heat pumps operation. It is designed to provide heating and cooling at the industrial level. The objective of this development is to overcome technological barriers that do not allow heat pumps to be part of the solutions for energy efficiency and decarbonation at the industrial level. It uses an hydraulic piston to compress and discharge the working fluid in a discontinuous approach inside pressurized vessels. Different transformations can be put end-to-end to form a cycle called the hydro-CO₂ HP. This study provides explanations on its operation principle, its design and its expected performances to establish the technology relevance from the environmental, economical and technical point of view. The first 250 W prototype has been developed. It has a 1:1000 scale compared to the envisioned applications at the industrial level. Experimental results highlighted some modifications to add on the design of the next prototype versions. They also showed the important impact of heat losses within the performance deterioration. If simulations show that this impact is reduced when up-scaling the technology towards greater capacities, they still remain an important point to solve in the upcoming developments. This study confirms this technology potential regarding its initial objectives and its contribution to the industrial energy transition.</dcterms:abstract>
