Indeed, metropolitan France count many venoumous species such as terrestrial reptiles, hymenoptera, lepidoptera represented by processionary caterpillars, scorpions and spiders. In this work, the envenoming faculties that are specific to each of these species and the venomous syndrome that they can cause to hikers are detailed. Venomous risk is not the only wildlife risk. The hiker is expose to blood-sucking parasites that are the ticks which carry pathogens. Hiking is an outdoor activity that leads to interaction between humans and these parasites. Lyme borreliosis is the most frequently transmitted disease by ticks in France. Finally, the gathering and consumption of mushrooms is a widespread practice. Poisonings, sometimes dramatic, are not uncommon. The syndromes of fatal poisoning are detailed in this manuscript.</dcterms:abstract>
