On constate que l’une des premières causes d’abandon sont les troubles gastro-intestinaux. Ce travail a pour objet de rassembler suffisamment d’informations afin d’apporter des conseils à tous les sportifs concernés. Il a également pour but de transmettre aux pharmaciens d’officine des informations nécessaires à la transmission de conseils adaptés. Les définitions de l’activité physique et du sport en général seront évoquées, avant d’aborder le coeur du sujet avec les conséquences physiologiques de la pratique sportive d’endurance. Des conseils concernant l’alimentation, l’hydratation ainsi que les solutions médicales sont abordés. Dans la dernière partie et la conclusion, j’ai mis en avant les solutions et conseils que je pense importants à transmettre aux sportifs souhaitant réduire le risque de troubles intestinaux. The popularity of running (because it's so easy to do), and particularly long distance running, is growing all the time. Gastrointestinal problems are one of the main reasons why people give up running. The aim of this study is to gather sufficient information to provide advice to all sportspeople concerned. It also aims to provide dispensing pharmacists with the information they need to pass on appropriate advice. Definitions of physical activity and sport in general will be discussed, before getting to the heart of the matter with the physiological consequences of endurance sports. Advice on diet, hydration and medical solutions is given. In the final section and conclusion, I have highlighted the solutions and advice that I think are important to pass on to sportspeople wishing to reduce the risk of intestinal problems.
