     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Dans le domaine des télécommunications, l'amplification Raman nécessite des lasers de pompe émettant de fortes puissances et un taux de polarisation très élevé. Les travaux présentés ici ont pour objectif principal, la caractérisation électro-optique des lasers de pompe InP émettant dans la gamme 1400-1500 nm et reportés « p-down » sur leur embase. Nous présentons, à travers différents moyens de caractérisation, une étude comparative permettant de comprendre quelles sont les étapes et les conditions du report qui influent sur la performance et la qualité de la polarisation optique de ces composants. Nous avons démontré que les contraintes induites lors de certaines étapes de l’assemblage, peuvent affecter la polarisation en dessous et au-dessus du courant de seuil du laser. Il est possible de minimiser cet impact en modifiant certains paramètres lors du report, comme l’outil ou la température du cycle d’intégration en module. Une étude du faisceau laser et de son champ proche résolue en polarisation, nous a permis d’analyser la distribution spatiale du mode fondamental TE, répartie selon ses deux composantes de polarisation, Ex et Ey. Enfin, l’utilisation de la mesure du degré de polarisation linéaire de la photoluminescence (DOLP), nous a permis de visualiser les déformations anisotropes induites sur la facette émettrice des lasers par ces différents procédés. </dcterms:abstract>
     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">In the field of telecommunications, Raman amplification requires very high-power pump lasers and a very high polarization rate. The work presented here is focused on the electro-optical characterization of InP pump lasers emitting in the 1400-1500 nm range and "p-down" bonded on their submount. We present, through different means of characterization, a comparative study allowing to understand which are the steps and the conditions of the bonding process which influence the performance and the quality of the optical polarization of these components. We demonstrate that the stresses induced during certain assembly steps can affect the polarization below and above the laser threshold current. It is possible to minimize this impact by modifying some parameters during the process, such as the tool or the temperature of the packaging process. A study of the laser beam and its polarization-resolved near-field allowed us to analyze the spatial distribution of the fundamental TE mode, divided into its two polarization components, Ex and Ey. Finally, the use of the measurement of the degree of linear polarization of the photoluminescence (DOLP), allowed us to visualize the anisotropic deformations induced on the emitting facet of the lasers by these various processes. </dcterms:abstract>
