     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Les oscillations hautes fréquences et les pointes épileptiques interictales sont des biomarqueurs fiables et précis pour localiser la zone épileptogène en cas d’exploration électroencéphalographique intracrânienne. Elles ont aussi un impact profond pour comprendre le mécanisme de l’épilepsie. Ainsi, la détermination des attributs discriminants permettant de caractériser et de catégoriser ces biomarqueurs est une étape déterminante dans le processus de la localisation de ladite zone. Dans un tel contexte, deux contributions sont proposées dans ce travail de thèse. La première est basée sur un apprentissage automatique et plus particulièrement sur la combinaison de caractéristiques extraites de la représentation temps-fréquence et de celles extraites de l’image temps-fréquence binarisée associée. La deuxième approche consiste à exploiter des réseaux de neurones convolutifs pour l’extraction automatique des caractéristiques discriminantes à partir des images temps-fréquence. Dans ce contexte, pour enrichir notre base de données, nous avons considéré la technique d'augmentation de données. Les résultats de classification obtenus sur des données réelles et bruitées montrent l’efficacité et la robustesse de nos approches vis-à-vis des approches issues de la littérature.</dcterms:abstract>
     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">High-Frequency Oscillations and interictal epileptic spikes are reliable and precise biomarkers for the identification of the epileptogenic zone and consequently to understand epilepsy using intracranial electroencephalographic recordings. Thus, extracting relevant discriminative features to reliably characterize and categorize these biomarkers is crucial. In this context, two contributions are proposed in this work. The first one is a machine learning based approach that relies on the combination (coupling) between features extracted from the time-frequency representation of the events of interest and those extracted from the associated binarized time-frequency images. The second approach is based on deep learning and more particularly on convolutional neural networks. This approach allows to automatically extract relevant global and local features from time-frequency images associated to the events of interest. To cope with the issue of the limited size of the database at hand, the data augmentation strategy is employed. Classification results obtained on real and noisy data show the efficiency and the robustness of the proposed approaches compared to state-of-the-art methods.</dcterms:abstract>
