Malgré le grand nombre de patients touchés par la maladie, les incidences bucco-dentaires restent peu connues des chirurgiens-dentistes mais aussi des médecins. Cette revue de littérature groupant des articles écrits entre 2010 et 2021 synthétise les différentes manifestations sur le milieu bucco-dentaire ainsi que la prise en charge de ces patients notamment grâce à la gestion du stress et des contrôles réguliers. En complément de cette revue de littérature, une étude de cas permet d’illustrer chez une patiente drépanocytaire différentes manifestations bucco-dentaires répertoriées ainsi qu’un rare cas de nécrose du processus condylaire droit. Sickle cell disease is one of the most common genetic diseases in the world and has multiple effects on the health of patients. Despite the number of patients affected by the disease, the effects on oral health are poorly known by dentists and doctors alike. This literature review groups articles written from 2010 to 2021 and synthesizes the different effects on oral health as well as the care of these patients notably thanks to the management of stress and regular visits. Complementing this literature review, a case report illustrates different known effects on a sickle cell patient but also a rare case of necrosis of the right condylar process.
