Plus précisément, étant donné un entier N, nous demandons: quel est le nombre minimum G tel que pour tout g plus grand que G il existe une courbe hyperelliptique de genre g ayant exactement N points rationnels? La première partie du manuscrit traite des courbes sans points rationnels, c’est-à-dire lorsque N est égal à zéro. En utilisant certaines constructions explicites, nous établissons pour chaque caractéristique une nouvelle borne qui dépend linéairement de la taille du corps fini. Dans la deuxième partie, on considère le cas général. Ici, lorsque la caractéristique est impaire et que N est strictement positif, une nouvelle borne quasi-linéaire sur les genres est obtenue à l’aide de constructions implicites. La troisième partie complète les résultats théoriques ci-dessus. Nous proposons une nouvelle approche de la recherche informatique des courbes hyperelliptiques sur les petits corps finis de caractéristique impaire en exploitant la machinerie des codes linéaires binaires. Cette thèse a été réalisée sous la direction du Professeur Alexey Zykin à l’Université de Polynésie française (2015—2019) et la codirection du Professeur Michael A. Tsfasman (Institute for Information Transmission Problems, Moscou). This thesis is devoted to the study of the lower existence bounds on the genus of hyperelliptic curves over a fixed finite field. More precisely, given an integer N, we ask: what is the minimum number G such that for any g bigger than G there is a genus g hyperelliptic curve having exactly N rational points? The first part of the manuscript deals with so called pointless curves, i.e. when N equals zero. Using some explicit constructions, for each characteristic we establish a new bound that depends linearly on the size of the ground finite field. In the second part one considers the general case. Here, when the characteristic is odd and N is strictly positive, a new quasilinear bound on the genera is obtained by means of implicit constructions. The third part completes the above theoretical results. We propose a new approach to the computer search of hyperelliptic curves over small finite fields of odd characteristic by exploiting the machinery of binary linear codes.
