Pourtant moins de 10% des personnes éligibles sont vaccinées. L’objectif de cette étude était de d'approcher les connaissances sur cette maladie et l’acceptation de ce vaccin par les patients. L’objectif secondaire demandait aux patients la meilleure façon de diffuser ce message de prévention. Méthode Cette étude qualitative a été conduite entre mars 2021 et mai 2021 auprès de patients urbains ou ruraux selon des entretiens semi-dirigés. L’analyse a été faite de façon thématique après codage du verbatim. Résultats Quatorze entretiens ont été réalisés. Le zona est une maladie con-nue de tous, avec souvent un antécédent personnel ou dans l’entourage. Les symptômes sont identifiés mais pas l’origine de ce mal, même si la notion de lien avec la varicelle ressort de l’étude. Le traitement passe entre autres par les guérisseurs. Le vaccin Zostavax semble inconnu du grand public. Les patients sont majoritairement favorables à cette vaccination mais après celle contre la covid. L’information est à apporter par le médecin généraliste en premier avant d’éventuelles affiches ou campagnes publiques. Conclusion L’information concernant la vaccina-tion contre le zona n’est pas arrivée jusqu’aux patients. Le médecin généraliste a un rôle central pour propager cet acte de prévention. Introduction Vaccination against herpes zoster has been recommended in France since 2013. Yet, less than 10% of eligible people are vaccinated. The objective was to determine the knowledge on the disease and the acceptance of the vaccine by patients. The secondary objective was to ask patients the best way of spreading the information on its prevention. Methodology This qualitative study was conducted between March 2021 and May 2021, with urban or rural patients by semi-structured interviews. The analysis was thematic, after coding verbatim. Results Fourteen interviews were carried out. All patients knew about herpes zoster, often because there was a personal history or in the entourage. The symptoms were identified but not the origin, even if a link with varicella was often suspected. Healers were often mentioned for the treatment. The vaccine Zostavax was unknown to people. The majority of questioned patients is favorable to get vaccination but after covid vaccination. Message should be first broadcast by the general practitioner before posters or public campaigns. Conclusion The information about vaccination against herpes zoster hasn’t reached patients. The general practitioner has a central part to play to spread this act of prevention.
