L’objectif était d’évaluer l’impact de l’utilisation d’un livret d’information sur l’alimentation végétarienne sur la prise en charge des patient·e·s, en étudiant l’évolution des connaissances des MG et la relation médecin-patient·e avant et après sa diffusion. Méthodes : L’étude a été menée sous la forme d’une enquête quantitative descriptive par diffusion de deux questionnaires électroniques auprès des MG libéraux et des internes de médecine générale (IMG) en Bretagne. Le premier questionnaire était accompagné d’un livret d’information sur l’alimentation végétarienne élaboré lors d’un précédent travail de thèse. Résultats : Les questionnaires ont été diffusés auprès de 3113 MG libéraux et 430 IMG en Bretagne. 101 participant·e·s ont complété les 2 questionnaires, entre février et juin 2021. La moyenne obtenue à l’évaluation des connaissances sur le végétarisme a été significativement améliorée, passant de 58,4/100 avant la diffusion du livret à 68,2/100 après (+ 16,7%). La relation médecin-patient·e a progressé de 7,3% sur l’échelle proposée. Conclusion : Lors de cette étude, la diffusion d’un livret d’information sur l’alimentation végétarienne a amélioré les connaissances des MG induisant une meilleure prise en charge des patient·e·s végétarien·ne·s. Ainsi, une diffusion à plus large échelle par les sociétés savantes serait pertinente Background : In France, the vegetarian nutrition has been growing significantly in recent years, leading general practitioners (GPs) to look into this type of diet. The objective was to assess the impact of using an information booklet about vegetarian nutrition on patients care, by studying the evolution of GPs’ knowledge and the doctor-patient relationship before and after its distribution. Methods : The study was carried out in the form of a quantitative descriptive survey by distributing two electronic questionnaires to liberals GPs and interns in general medicine (IMG) in Brittany. The first questionnaire was accompanied by an information booklet about vegetarian nutrition developed during a previous thesis work. Results : The questionnaires were distributed to 3113 private practitioners and 430 IMGs in Brittany. 101 participants completed the 2 questionnaires between February and June 2021. The average obtained in the evaluation of knowledge on vegetarianism was significantly improved, going from 58.4/100 before the distribution of the booklet to 68.2/100 after (+ 16,7%). Conclusion : In this study, the distribution of an information booklet about vegetarian nutrition improved the knowledge of GPs leading to a better vegetarian patients care.
