La bretagne est l’une des régions où l’on compte le plus grand nombre de décès liés à cette pathologie et ce malgré des campagnes de communication. Ce constat amène à s’interroger sur le processus décisionnel des patients en cas de douleur thoracique. Méthode : Il s’agit d’une étude quantitative par test de corrélation entre les critères potentiellement influents dans la décision des patients et le comportement qu’ils ont adopté en termes de premier intervenant contacté et le délai d’appel au centre 15 suite à une douleur thoracique. Ces éléments ont été déterminés par un questionnaire délivré à 122 patients des services d’unité de soins intensifs cardiologiques de Vannes et Lorient en 2019-2020. Résultats : 42.6% de l’échantillon déclarent avoir contacté le centre 15 sans intermédiaire et 51.6% déclarent avoir été mis en contact avec le centre 15 en moins d’une heure. La notion de gravité et l’intuition d’un problème d’origine cardiaque en cas de douleur thoracique favorisent l’appel vers le 15 sans intermédiaire dans des délais rapides. La consigne de contacter le 15 en cas de douleur thoracique, permet aux patients qui l’ont retenue, de ne pas appeler passer 4h. La source principale de cette information provient des médias, loin devant les soignants selon les patients interrogés. Conclusion : La connaissance des patients en matière de régulation apporte un comportement adapté en cas de douleur thoracique. Ce facteur a une place majeure dans la résolution d’un problème de santé publique car c’est essentiellement sur ce dernier que les acteurs concernés pourraient s’appuyer en réfléchissant à plusieurs stratégies de communication. Introduction: the delay to calll the emergency regulation center (15) for chest pain determines the prognosis of patients suffering from myocardial infarction. Brittany is one of the regions in France with the highest number of deaths related to this pathology, despite communication campaigns. We wonder what is the decision-making process of patients in case of chest pain. Methodology: this is a quantitative study. It combines numerous potential criteria influencing patients' decisions and the behaviour adopted in terms of the first responder contacted and the time taken to dial the 15 after the symptoms. The present study delivered a questionnaire to 122 patients in the cardiac intensive care units of Vannes and Lorient between 2019 and 2020. Results: 42.6 % of the sample declared having contacted the emergency regulation center directly on their own. 51.6 % declared reaching the regulation center under an hour. The degree of seriousness and the intuition of a cardiac problem associated with chest pain favoured dialling rapidly the 15 without an intermediary. The instruction to contact regulation center during chest pain allows patients who remembered to avoid calling after 4 hours. The principal source of this information comes from the media, significantly ahead of practitioner based on the patients' response. Conclusion: Patients' knowledge about health regulation system provides appropriate behaviour in case of chest pain. The factor is determinant in the improvement of a public health problem. This information is crucial for an effective communication strategy implementation.
