Cependant près d’un français sur deux est en déficit de vitamine D sans le savoir. Ce chiffre justifie entre autres la sensibilisation du grand public sur le déficit en vitamine D mais par quels moyens ? Une étude a été faite auprès du grand public pour évaluer leurs connaissances sur la vitamine D et déterminer les éléments à développer pour les informer sur ce sujet. Globalement, les connaissances des français sont correctes, mais ils ne souhaitent pas pour autant faire un dosage pour connaitre leur statut vitaminique. La première source d’information pour les français sur la vitamine D est le médecin, car il s’agit de la source la plus fiable. L’enjeu est donc d’inciter les français à s’informer sur le déficit en vitamine D, via un dialogue avec un médecin traitant. Vitamin D is a pro hormone essential for the good functioning of the human body, with its bony and extra bony benefits. However, almost one French person out of two is in deficit of vitamin D without knowing it. This figure justifies, the awareness of the general public about vitamin D deficiency but by what ways? A study was conducted among the general public to assess their knowledge of vitamin D and to determine the elements to be developed to inform them on this subject. Overall, the knowledge of the French is correct, but they do not wish to make a dosage to know their vitamin status. The first source of information for the French on vitamin D is the doctor, as this is the most trusted source. The challenge is therefore to encourage the French to learn about vitamin D deficiency through a dialogue with a doctor.
