Entre les nouvelles missions qui s’offrent à lui, le monopole pharmaceutique sans cesse remis en question et la concurrence de plus en plus agressive, le pharmacien doit s’adapter dans un environnement en mouvement. Il doit être un bon communicant et un bon manager. La communication passe par l’image que renvoie la pharmacie et ses collaborateurs mais aussi par la relation de communication avec le patient pour qu’il adhère à son traitement, trouver les mots justes, la posture adaptée. Animer et diriger son équipe au quotidien est un exercice difficile, les compétences scientifiques du pharmacien bien que nécessaires, ne suffisent pas. C’est l’attitude bien plus que l’expérience scientifique qui fait l’excellence d’un manager. Cette thèse a pour mission de donner des outils au pharmacien et d’inviter à la réflexion sur l’importance de la communication et du management au sein de l’officine. The Pharmacist, considered as the most accessible and the first proximity health professional, has a job which evolves perpetually. Between his new missions, the never-ending threats to the pharmaceutical monopoly and the increasing competitions, the pharmacist must be able to adapt in a shifting environment. He must be good in communication and as a manager. Such communication is done through the Pharmacy’s image and its collaborators but also through the relationship established via communicating with the patient in order to improve his treatment adherence by finding the right words and the right posture. Leading a team on a daily basis is a complicated exercise and the Pharmacist’ scientific skills, even though necessary, are not enough. His attitude, more than his scientific knowledge, will make him a good manager. This thesis aims at giving tools to pharmacists and inviting for further reflection on the importance of communication and management within a community pharmacy.
