L’objectif de ce travail est de rappeler les caractéristiques des troubles autistiques ainsi que leurs particularités de prise en charge. A partir des éléments mis en place à l’Hôpital Sud du CHU de Rennes dans le Pôle Imagerie et Explorations Fonctionnelles, et après un état des lieux sur la prise en charge actuelle des patients autistes au Centre de Soins Dentaires, nous proposons des voies d’amélioration et des supports adaptés à cette prise en charge. The autistic child requires dental care that is adapted both to its approach to the child and to the environment in which the child is treated. The aim of this study is to refocus attention on the characteristics of autistic disorders as well as to describe the specific needs involved in the care of young autistic patients. Based on the program in use at the South Hospital of the Rennes University Hospital in the Imaging and Functional Explorations Unit, and following an analysis of the current care provided to autistic patients at the Dental Care Center, we propose ways to improve care and the means adapted to their treatment.
