C’est une alternative aux traitements anti-sécrétoires, notamment les inhibiteurs de la pompe à protons, très largement prescrits, sur de très longues durées et possédant des effets indésirables non négligeables sur les capacités rénales et osseuses. De plus, l’utilisation d’huiles essentielles, en complément des traitements antibiotiques conventionnels, permet de limiter l’émergence de souches bactériennes résistantes, principalement en perméabilisant leurs membranes. L’objectif de cette thèse fut de recenser et comparer les huiles essentielles mentionnées pour leurs actions gastroprotectrices et anti-Helicobacter pylori dans la littérature scientifique et dans les publications grand public afin de mettre en avant celles dont les propriétés sont prouvées. The growing interest of patients for natural medicines and the emergence of multiresistant strains of Helicobacter pylori, makes aromatherapy an significant alternative to treat peptic ulcers. Aromatherapy is an alternative to anti-secretory treatements, such as proton pump inhibitors, which are widely prescribed, usually in longs periods of times and have a lot of sides effects on kidney and bone capacities. Moreover, use of aromatherapy, in addition to conventional antibiotic treatments, limits the emergence of resistant bacterials strains, mainly by increasing their membrane’s permeability. The aim of this thesis was to identify and compare the mentioned essential oils for their gastroprotective and antibacterial activities in scientific or consumer data publications in order to highlight essential oils of proven effectiveness.
