Il appartient alors au chirurgien dentiste d’outrepasser cette difficulté, en disposant des outils nécessaires à une compréhension mutuelle et donc à l’échange d’informations. Méthode. - Le protocole pisourd a été établi avec l’Unité d’accueil et de soins pour personnes sourdes et malentendantes de Rennes. Ce protocole vise à utiliser les codes de communications compréhensibles par la communauté nonentendante pour fluidifier le dialogue et véhiculer l’information, grâce au support visuel, qui se veut également facilement déchiffrable par le praticien. Résultats. - Ces nouvelles fiches pisourds s’inscrivent dans la prise en charge des patients non-entendants souffrant de dysfonctionnements de l’appareil manducateur, et servent de base au dialogue entre patient et praticien en couvrant les différentes phases de prise en charge, de l’anamnèse au traitement. Conclusion. - Ces nouvelles fiches s’ajoutent à celles précédemment réalisées, afin d’élargir les disciplines odontologiques bénéficiant de ces outils, lesquels constituent un support de communication au cabinet dentaire. Background. - Even if the communication between the patient and practicioner is decisive in the medical care quality, it remains hard to establish a clear dialogue with a deaf patient. Deafness seems to be a shared handicap both by the dentist and the patient. The dentist thus has to overcome this step to help mutual comprehension and then to push forward the exchange of informations thanks to Pi-Sourd sheets. Method. - Pi-Sourd protocole has been set up with the reception and care unit for deaf and hearing impaired in Rennes. This protocole is aimed to use easy understandable ways to communicate with non-hearing community thanks to a visual medium, in order to facilitate a real dialogue and to translate the message from the patient to the dentist, and also from the dentist to the patient. Results. - These new Pi-Sourd sheets are set to be added to the toolbox created for communication with deaf people. These new ones concern jaw pains and dysfunctions medical care. It contains all the classical therapeutic steps from anamnesis to treatments. Conclusion. - These sheets are a new chapter of the former sheets realized.
